Features
Pigment Red 101, C. I. Number 77491. Available as both natural and synthetic products, these pigments also carry such historic names as haematite (hematite), mars red, ferrite red, rouge, turkey red, bauxite red, chinese red, and Persian Gulf oxide. Transparent red iron oxide pigments are also available.The wide range of red iron oxide shades available, in addition to their acid and alkali resistance and their economy, accounts for the large volume of these pigments used in today’s coatings market place.
Application
Transparent iron oxide pigment red can be used in automotive coatings, wood coatings, architectural coatings, industrial coatings, powder coatings, art paint, plastics, nylon, rubber, printing ink, cosmetics, tobacco packaging and other packaging coatings. Transparent iron oxide pigments can be used in combination with organic pigments which can not only enrich the color and improve the chroma, but also can significantly improve the condition of poor weather resistance when organic pigments are used alone.
