Product Description

A solvent dye is a dye which is soluble in organic solvents and is frequently used as a solution in those solvents. This category of dyes is used to color items such as waxes, lubricants, plastics, and other hydrocarbon-based nonpolar materials. Any dyes used in fuels, for example, would be considered solvent dyes and they are not soluble in water.

Hermeta provides a wide range of solvent dyes with good chemical compatibility for plastics industry. These solvent dyes lend color to a number of solid materials like nylon, acetates, polyester, PVC, acrylics, PETP, PMMA, styrene monomers and polystyrene. In contrast to ordinary dyes, the solvent dyes Hermeta produces are pure in nature and contain low amount of impurities.
